Development Status of RFID Technology

RFID tag application

The RFID tag package is mainly based on the low-temperature flip-chip bonding process, and new label packaging processes such as fluid self-assembly and vibration assembly have also appeared. China’s low-cost, high-reliability label manufacturing equipment and packaging processes are under development.
RFID reader application
There are many types of RFID readers, and some advanced products can achieve multi-protocol compatibility. China has launched a series of RFID reader products. The low-power read/write module has reached the same level in foreign countries. The high-power read-write module and the reader-on-chip system (SoC) are still in the research and development stage.
RFID application direction
In terms of application system integration and data management platforms, some international organizations have proposed RFID-based application architecture. Major software vendors have also provided RFID-enabled services and solutions in their products, and related testing and application promotion work is underway. China has achieved initial results in RFID application architecture, public service systems, middleware, system integration, and information fusion and testing. The establishment of a national RFID test center has been included in the science and technology development plan.
China has applied RFID technology to railway identification, ID card and ticket management, animal identification, special equipment and dangerous goods management, public transportation and production process management.
